PASSIONATE PURSUIT...AFTER GOD'S OWN HEART

 James 5:1-10
 
Go to now, Ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
Your riches are corrupted and your garments are motheaten.
Your gold and silver is cankered, and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and you shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
Behold the hire of the laborers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth and the cries of them which reapeth are entered in the ears of the Lord of sabbath.
Ye have lived in the pleasure of the earth, and been wanton; you have nourished your hearts, as in a way of slaughter.
You have condemned and killed the just, and he doth not resist you.
Be patient therefore brethren, unto the coming of the Lord, Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and have long patience for it, until He receive the early and latter rain.
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.
Grudge not one against another, brethren, Lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
Therefore, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Grace, peace, and love be multiplied. It is needful to mention the coming judgment, righteous, just judgment. The Apostle James addresses the chosen of Isreal that have been scattered. The bible has stated that when you strike the sheppard, you scatter the flock. The flock is scattered unto God because of spiritual warfare. The sheppard didn’t necessarily do anything wrong. Sometimes the disciples are tried to purify. James tells the scattered flock to have patience; operate in wisdom that comes from above and to be sure our prayers are spoken by the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus gave us the cross to bear. He knows the hindrances of the flesh and the warfare that he has allowed in the Spirit. He has it all in the palm of His hand. Having said these things, the Lord Jesus has said to submit ourselves unto God. Don’t allow flesh and blood to separate the unity of the Spirit. Know that there is a force behind every going through. Nevertheless the Lord Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. The Lord says do not worry yourself with the rich man that is not rich in the faith. They have their own miseries. The Lord has heard the prayers of the righteous which have worked diligently, hour-by-hour and have not been compensated with a fair wage, but wages have been withheld for usury while they collect as much as they can with interest to delay distribution. They have lived their pleasures by the trampling of the gospel of others and have been found wanting meaning wanting of the Holy Spirit. Thes folks want the rewards of the Spirit of God without the responsibilities of the relationship. They have partaken of our goodness and nourished their hearts as if we have been the latest conquest. While attempting to condemn (although there is not condemnation in Christ) and annihilate the character of the righteous, kicking us while we are already down, we have loved in the purified love of Christ. We have prayed for them that have despitefully used us. We have cried unto God for relief of injustice. We have showed mercy without respecter of persons. There the Lord has said be patient in distresses, imprisonments, and afflictions. I am there with you always. He is awaiting a harvest unto himself. Therefore, strengthen your hearts. You may have been wounded. You may have been afflicted in battle. We endure hardness as good soldiers enduring the race that has been set before us for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. Therefore, don’t allow your brother to offend you. Blessed is the man who is not offended in me. Don’t be offended by will. Don’t be offended by my purpose. Don’t take down for the enemy. Be not weary in well doing for you shall reap if you faint not. Herein is the patience of the saints. The coming of the Lord drawth nigh. Therefore, be patient. Forgive one another. Pray for one another. Confess your faults one to another. Fellowship with one another Rejoice with one another. Compel one another to seek after the holiness of God. Seek to know and understand the heart of God toward his people.
