PASSIONATE PURSUIT...CONSIDER HIS PROFESSION

HEBREWS 3:1-8
Wherefore, Holy brethren, partakers of the Holy calling, consider the Apostle and high priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.,
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house.
For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
And moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, Today if you will hear his voice,
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
O taste and see that the Lord he is good and his mercies endureth forever. This is the day that the Lord has made we will rejoice and be exceedingly glad in it. Let us savor for a moment how the Lord our God speaks with us. Hear his voice. He calls is holy brethren by faith and he has spoken and proclaimed his servants to be holy. He said that we are partakers of a calling hat is from Heaven even though we are planted here as ambassadors.
Paul encourages us to consider Jesus Christ our high priest and Apostle, how he was faithful. He mentions his vocation in two operations of the spirit. He speak of Jesus in the priesthood and the apostleship. He is the architect of the house and worthy of the honor as a faithful builder. We must trust that he is building a good thing.
Paul was also used to mention Moses, who was a servant of God, faithful in all of his house and called a friend of God. So he says Moses had a house and he was faithful over it, but he had his own house. Moses also was considered a counselor and advisor to Jesus Christ and we have seen him in the Mount of Transfiguration encouraging our Lord in his mission to build the children/ disciples on their Most Holy faith with signs, miracles, and wonders following confirming the word. The word states that Moses was a servant to testify of those things that would be spoken after.
But Christ as a Son of his own house…
The house that the Lord is building belongs to Jesus. The house didn’t belong to Moses, he was a servant to the Master builder. Moses was a great friend. He was a servant who empowered others with great ability and favor to work the works of god in obedience to help the owner, the Son of God. The chief apostle is the Master architect and builder whose house are we, but what is required is confidence that we hold fast with rejoicing unto the end. The Lord commands that we hold firm to the confidence and the hope. He’s done too much to go wrong. He said he will never leave you neither forsake you that you can boldly say that he’s your helper and your keeper. O when Jesus gets involved it’s a glorious thing, It’s marvellous. It’s splendid. Therefore, trust the lord Jesus Christ. He who has began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. Wherefore Today, although we may hear and encounter may voices, hear the voice of the Lord saying, I’m with you. I love you. I care for you. I’m still working on your behalf. You belong to me. Hear his voice by his spirit and harden nor your heart for troubles don’t last always. All things work together for the good to those who are called according to his purpose.
