But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses.

The Lord Jesus Christ came working signs, miracles, and wonders while instructing the disciples on how to go forth with power and authority for reconciliation. At that time, there was the law and there was the prophetic. Jesus came to fullfil the prophetic and to establish the foundation of grace and mercy with his love abounding in abundance.
He instructed his chosen to watch and to pray because our adversary is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. The Lord says in all things we are joint -heirs making our ministry sure and without blame.
Matthew 26:38-41
The saith he unto them, my soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
And we went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
And he cometh unto his disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, what, could ye not watch with me one hour?
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
In watchings, we must be attentive that we may stay faithful stewards of the mysteries.
The Lord shared that he was exceedingly sorrowful because the time of his departure drew near. He was going to prepare a place for his people. However, he said that he would send the comforter. There was still so much work that needed to be done before he returned. His disciples, although they walked with him, still couldn’t comprehend.  #Patience #watch #repent #chasinghim #overcome #endure
