PASSIONATE PURSUIT...AND HE'S STILL WITH US

Though He slay me, yet will I trust in him, but I will maintain my own ways before him...

The Lord didn’t specify how the affliction would come, but He did state that many are the afflictions of the righteous and the Lord delivered them out of them all.
When I read the above scripture passages I didn’t get the concept of how slaying could come. One of the last things one would think is that the affliction would come with slaying of the spirit of the mind. However, we know that we are in a spiritual warfare and our enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy and he desires to stiff us like wheat; just because Jesus loves us and we belong to him. We have a beautiful mind and the enemy will use it as a battlefield. If Jesus allows such a trial, do not fear what the enemy can do. The Lord will deliver you. The enemy will come with paratroopers attempting to scatter your thoughts and have you think that Christ has left you and that you don’t belong to him. He will have people look at you and laugh, mocking and kicking you while you’re down in hopes of getting you to grow weary and throw in the towel. The enemy wants you to retreat from the battlefield and run back to the sins that your old man used to do. The Lord Jesus paid the price and has delivered you over and over again. The deliverances were not in vain. The enemy is relentless and will keep tempting you with things of the past, because that’s where he is…in the past. Encourage yourself in the Lord and know without doubt that the Lord is your refuge. You’re not crazy because the word is being tried in you. The word stated that God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind. The enemy will come and attempt to persuade you to think that your mind is not sound and that you’re not operating in the spirit of love. If he can get you to believe that then how affective would you be on the battlefield? Would you stop fighting? Would you fight a good fight? Walk in the Spirit and overcome evil with good. Don’t let the enemy convince you that you’re lost and that you weren’t a part of the Lord’s purpose. The enemy is not warring with those who really don’t want the Lord. He’s warring with those who trust in the Lord and who are after God’s own heart, those who have hearts of repentance. The natural man wants to run and hide, yet the spiritual man wants the Lord God to get the glory.
The natural man sees what the enemy wants you to see sometimes, things lacking in faith...things seeming impossible, troubles, distresses, perplexities, bewildered. However, the spirit man sees the tree planted by the rivers. He sees the possibilities of Christ to move by His Holy Spirit, the love, the miracles, signs, overcoming power of Christ. You see things complete in the faith, the manifestation of righteousness. You see the work already done in Christ. #watch #pray #keeppraising #EMPOWEREDTOBELIEVE
