SECRETS OF A GOD CHASER
This is everything! The passion, the pain, the frustration...the raw seek and undying love without inhibition of a God Chaser...seeking His face like never before!
DANIEL 2:22 &47
HE REVEALETH THE DEEP AND SECRET THINGS: HE KNOWETH WHAT IS IN THE DARKNESS, AND THE LIGHT DWELLETH WITH HIM.
THE KING ANSWERED UNTO DANIEL, AND SAID, OF A TRUTH IT IS, THAT YOUR GOD IS A GOD OF GODS, AND A LORD OF KINGS, AND A REVEALER OF SECRETS, SEEING THOU COULDEST REVEAL THIS SECRET.
   Matthew 10:26
fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
what i tell you in darkness, that speak ye in the light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

Why Send Moses and Elijah?

In Matthew chapter 17 Jesus goes into mountain and he takes with Him three of His disciples. Yet, there appeared to Him in the mountain, Moses and Elijah, and they ministered unto Him. I find it interesting that throughout numerous scripture references there is mention of children of God approached by angels of the lord to give messages or instructions, even sent to Elijah to fix cakes and encourage Him to move on and be about his father's business.

I am a firm believer that the Lord is not going to send someone to encourage you through something unless they have been through what you're going through or what you are ABOUT to go through. Even though Jesus is in the company of His much beloved disciples, they are not capable of understanding the suffering and the afflictions that Jesus would soon undergo.

Moses walked in a time of a stiff necked generation that would not believe except they see miracles, signs, and wonders. Even then their faith was suspect and doubtful. Moses operated as a prophet in the sense that He spoke the Word of God/ Commands to the people and gave warning of the consequences should they choose to turn away from their God. He also operated as a High Priest in the sense that He brought the cares of the people before the Lord, cried out on their behalf for mercy, and pleaded for their forgiveness.

Elijah, too, walked in a time of "no rain" spiritual or natural and was outnumbered by the false prophets. He had been given great power to work signs and wonders but because of the hearts of the people, few works were done as faith-builders, but He was used in the operation of the spirit for works of judgment and destruction. With all the power Elijah had we often hear the words, "what have I to do with thee?" Knowing in advance that those approaching him are coming to him AFTER their false prophets and idols have failed them. Yet, he still went forth in loyalty and obedience to the Most High.

Moses and Elijah were able to support and encourage Jesus because, they too,had suffered the rejection and the brokenness and the same types of people during their time of ministry. They took a stand for holiness and righteousness. They remained loyal even when dealing with the foolish, unrighteous, and downright wicked people of the nations. They stayed in the face of God!

Remember where the Lord brought you from. Remember where you were when the Lord FOUND you and REVEALED the mystery of Himself to you. Show the Lord that He made the right decision when He chose you. Take up that cross and elevate to your seat in the heavenlies (Ephesians 2:6) while Christ reigns and Has His way in your earthly vessel. This is the covenant that you made when you took those vows and said I do, right? What a joy it is to be in the manifest presence of the Most High...but you must die to get there! Don't be left telling stories of how you ALMOST died for Jesus' sake. Do it! You must die to the flesh and spiritually elevate, there you will find your secret place in the Most High! How badly do you want Him?....or do you?

The Most Valuable Player (MVP)

Anyone who knows me knows that I love cooking and trying new foods. My husband has a sweet tooth  and loves to put in his special request for all sorts of homemade cookies. One afternoon he comes in from work and makes mention of the cookies that he took to work that morning to eat during his lunch break. "That's the best batch you've ever made! I took about ten with me to work and couldn't believe I didn't bring more. Can you please make some more?"
"Really?", I said with the usual sarcasm. I worked really hard on that batch and with an extra touch of brown sugar and vanilla. I couldn't believe they were nearly gone. I had made two dozen! Deep inside I was really happy that those cookies were such a big hit with him and the kids. So of course I said "sure", I went into the kitchen and put into my mind to do another batch. I thought that this time with the chocolate chip I would add some heath toffee chips too and make them a little extra sweet and chewy, and I also wouldn't put as much salt as called for in the original recipe. I wanted them to be a little flatter and have a "melt in your mouth" effect.

I popped the first batch in the oven and waited with anticipation of a mouth-watering cookie that couldn't be duplicated and that he would want to brag to his co-workers about. I pulled them out of the oven and found that it was a disaster. The cookies didn't rise even a little bit and in fact they began to fall apart! I was soooo focused on the sugar....I played around with the sugar. I put less white sugar and a hint more brown thinking that the molasses would bring more flavor chemistry with the butter ( and I use REAL butter by the way..it HAS to be REAL!). Nevertheless, there was a lack of salt! I would often use trial and error with recipes especially with sweet potato pie and cheesecake, where the key player was the sugar. However, in many other palatable dishes, the most valuable player is the salt. Though the salt may SEEM like an inactive ingredient, we have to let the salt be what it is.

Now consider the Word of God. "Oh taste and see that the Lord is good".....some of His Word is harder to digest that other parts, but it's all good so long as we let the Most Valuable Player do His job....The Salt. We can't eliminate or decrease the salt. The salt is distinct and makes the sugar what it is. The salt may SEEM to be a small background worker but He is the MOST VALUABLE. If He is taken out of the game...you lose....and the cookies...well....they fall apart.
