​Jeremiah 2:21-22
Yet I had planned thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: How then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me? For thou wash thee with and take nitre and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God.
The Lord has spoken on numerous occasions to his children calling us a royal priesthood. He commanded us that we be holy for he is holy. He planted us as a righteous seed. Then he asks in the scripture how we can become a strange vine as if he didn’t graft us in? He told us to abide in the vine. Abide in him and he will abide in you. Nothing we do is natural. We must walk by his Spirit of Truth. The Lord Jesus addresses the need for us to be clean spiritually, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against powers, rulers, and spiritual wickedness. No amount of soap can make us clean without being clean by the blood of Jesus. The iniquity and sin must be washed with repentance.
Duet 30:16
And the Lord thy God will circumcise thine heart and the heart of thy seed to love the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul that thou mayest live.
The Lord gave commands to love him with our whole heart. He stated in doing so we would live and our seed also. He had conditions and the conditions are to come and be clean. Have clean hands and a pure heart before the Lord. When trouble comes we must recognize there is no natural solution for a spiritual situation. Faith is required. Obedience is required. Surrender to his will and purpose. We are his. We are called by his name. You can buy gloves, alcohol, wine, masks, and sanitizer but will these protect you from the spiritual judgment? Without the application of the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ, you will always be at risk. Do not go astray. Seek the Spirit of God. Seek to do his will and his purpose without waver and without compromise.
