PASSIONATE PURSUIT...HUMILITY AND FEAR OF THE LORD

As I have grown and abounded in revelations of the Lord Jesus Christ, I must admit that I have learned patience. When I was younger, I thought I had patience. I mentioned it. I said I had it. However, I had no clue what patience was or how to define it it in my daily routine because what first had to be established within me was what I was waiting for. Once it was clear whom and what I was waiting with patience for, then the Lord God established in me a godly and reverent fear. The fear was there with the initial measure of faith, but then the Lord began to pour His Holy Spirit the more I sought him.
With the pouring came the teaching of His Holy precepts. It's almost like a child learning to crawl and then walk. You begin to hear the voice of the Lord. He teaches us what pleases him and what doesn't. Similar to how a parent teaches us growing up. In some instances a parent can just give us a certain look at us or give a slight frown and we get the memo about what not to do again. Relationships require patience. Therefore, from faith to faith and glory to glory the initial measure of fear of the Lord elevates and you go higher heights and deeper depths because of it. If you ask a friend and out growing up, I'm sure they could mention some highs and lows, some ups and some downs. It is easy to receive instructions when the revelation of the end result is revealed, but where is the faith established in that? You are going to have shortcomings it is a part of the faith process. The Lord chastens those He loves...again I say He loves you. He wants you to grow and abound in that love. He who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Then the Lord says in necessities. Besides requiring much patience, he says were going to need things; natural and spiritual, yet he will be in the mist of it all. We need love and affections, confidence, and assurance. You're going to need finances, as well as spiritual edification. Nonetheless, He states that He knows what we stand in need of even before we ask. Pray and believe only and He will do it.
There are distresses that happen to come with the cares of life. There will be people who will desire to pull you in different directions. So folk who love you know how to get to your heart. They know what moves you and so does the Lord. Do not give room to the adversary. He's often lurking as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He's a n accuser of the brethren say and night. He never sleeps. He never slumbers. Therefore, we must surrender completely and keep the flesh under subjection. No matter the pressures to give in. The power of God is unveiled as we allow the Holy Ghost to reign through each circumstance or situation. The Lord by His Spirit introduces to himself in each person and teaches us the operation of His Spirit through each of his names if we allow him to. We learn to walk by the Holy Ghost. We learn the role of the Father, and of the Son, as they exist in three persons. The Lord Jesus Christ takes us through levels of humility as we learn to trust him and die daily. So then, we can be encouraged to know and understand that these afflictions or circumstances whatever the form or fashion are to glorify God in the fullness of His being.
THE FATHER
On several occasions after services I have encountered a person or two who would ask why I spend so time teaching and studying the old testament. My response was simply that our Father and the operations of His Spirit as our Father are revealed there.
His accounts through the patriarchs teach is of his patience, mercy, love, and long suffering towards us. He teaches us what pleases Him as God and what provokes Him to wrath. He reveals His glory, his strength, and his willingness to reign through us. Though Jesus Christ had not manifested in the flesh, he was present by His Spirit as the word in the mouth of His Holy prophets.
The Father chooses people as the apple of His eye and favors them to do a work in Him. He speaks and by His wisdom and understanding foundations were established. When you understand the role of the Father it is then that you can receive his love through his son Jesus Christ. It is needful to mention again, that it is there also that the fear of the Lord established.
As mentioned previously, the Lord doesn't do things just to do them. He does things so that we know him in all of his persons as He is established as three-in-one being. The Lord wants to establish is on a firm foundation of faith and that our testimony is received because we have lived and experienced the words that are spoken. How can we testify what we haven't lived? How can we encourage if we haven't overcome anything? The overcoming power comes with trusting the Lord and allowing him to carry us through the fire of life's circumstances and situations.

PSALM 23
THE LORD IS MY SHEPPERD; I SHALL NOT WANT.
HE MAKETH ME TO LIE DOWN IN GREEN PASTURES. HE LEADETH ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS. HE RESTORETH MY SOUL: HE LEADETH ME IN THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE.
YEA, THOUGH I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH, I WILL FEAR NO EVIL: FOR THOU ARE WITH ME; THY ROD AND THY STAFF THEY COMFORT ME.
THOU PREPAREST A TABLE BEFORE ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MINE ENEMIES: THOU ANOINTEST MY HEAD WITH OIL; MY CUP RUNNETH OVER.
SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY SHALL FOLLOW ME ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE: AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOR EVER.
The lord has showed me that he is my shepherd from the beginning. Even before I recognized Him as my shepherd, He led me on the path of righteousness. While I was still trying to find myself in Him, He had always been in me a minister of help. That's what I was moved to do, even in the midst of my own sin and transgressions; I would move in compassion, place my flesh under subjection and help others with whatever they needed help with.
He was and is my Sheppard in all things and as He continued to build me on my most holy faith he would often confirm Hi sword with that reminder. He said, “Pastor, I am your Sheppard and I'm the only Sheppard you'll ever need. No one else can be your Sheppard and do my works.” 
People would attempt to pull me in different directions. They would tell me to humble myself under their ministry, even after having been established in my own. Those times when I did give in to the intimidation and relinquished, the Lord told me I had taken down for the adversary. However, He allowed me to feel the pain of that  mistake by being silent for an appointed season. I prayed, yet there was no response. I praised, but yet it seemed like I wasn't reaching Him like before. Then one day when I went back to that place where I had come short of the glory, and cur ties with that particular ministry, the Lord began to reign again completely. However, He chastens those He loves and you know when it is the chastening of the Most High. #humility #surrender #pray
