A HOUSE DIVIDED…

AND JESUS KNEW THEIR THOUGHTS, AND SAID UNTO THEM, EVERY KINGDOM DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF IS BROUGHT TO DESOLATION; AND EVERY CITY OR HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF SHALL NOT STAND: AND IF SATAN CAST OUT SATAN, HE IS DIVIDED AGAINST HIMSELF; HOW SHALL THEN HIS KINGDOM STAND?
AND IF BY BEELZEBUB CAST OUT DEVILS, BY WHOM DO YOUR CHILDREN CAST THEM OUT? THEREFORE THEY SHALL BE YOUR JUDGES.
BUT IF I CAST OUT DEVILS BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, THEN THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS COME UNTO YOU.
OR ELSE HOW CAN ONE ENTER INTO A STRONG MAN’S HOUSE, AND SPOIL HIS GOODS, EXCEPT HE FIRST BIND THE STRONG MAN?  AND THEN HE WILL SPOIL HIS HOUSE.
HE THAT IS NOT WITH ME IS AGAINST ME; AND HE THAT GATHERETH NOT WITH ME SCATTERETH ABROAD.

Wisdom builds the house. Wisdom states that where there is unity there is strength. If the Lord desires the unity in the faith, then surely the enemy will attempt to divide and conquer.
While Jesus Christ ministered with His disciples, there were some that cam and challenged the way that he did things. Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivered him out of them all. Where you’re walking in righteousness, there will be adversaries wanting to weaken the hands of the saints. They know a house divided will fall. However, to divide a house, one must weaken the strength of the bond of unity. With the situation with Jesus Christ the adversary attempted to bring controversy and discord among those in the midst that had seen the signs, miracles, and wonders that were intended to strengthen and perfect that which was lacking in the faith. By His spirit all things are possible. Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
In verse 29, Jesus asks, “or else how can one enter a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?”
We must receive the Holy Spirit so that we can walk in the unity of faith in Jesus Christ. Setting captives free is warfare. People aren’t set free without some king of wrestle. Yet, by His Spirit the captives are set free. However, the adversary comes to attempt to bind the strong man in attempt to bring down the house and scatter the flock. The strong man is the Spirit of God. He must reign completely. He shouldn’t be grieved or quenched. We must “Kill on contact” the issues that the adversary uses to bring chaos, confusion, turmoil, and discord. We know that God is not the author of  such things and by entertaining these forces can lead you into division and ultimately destruction, if the Lord doesn’t intervene. Yield to the Holy Spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
