WORD OF THE LORD

​Isaiah 30:1
WOE TO THE REBELLIOUS CHILDREN, SAITH THE LORD, THAT TAKE COUNSEL , BUT NOT OF ME, AND THAT COVER WITH A COVERING, BUT NOT OF MY SPIRIT, THAT THEY MAY ADD SIN TO SIN.

There is always some kind of force behind our suffering. The Lord Jesus allows for trouble at times to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance and for the faith to abound.

Ezekiel 18:23
HAVE I ANY PLEASURE AT ALL THAT THE WICKED SHOULD DIE? SAITH THE LORD GOD: AND NOT THAT HE SHOULD RETURN FROM HIS WAYS, AND LIVE.

The Lord has designed His children to trust him as the God of all truth. He wants us to depend on Him completely. Through tests and trials Jesus desires us to seek Him for counsel and commands us to not lean toward our understanding of things. He commanded His children to surrender completely to His will and not to go astray or leave His hedge of protection. We cannot be conformed to the cares of this world. We cannot be covered unless it’s by His Spirit. God is a jealous God. He will not give His Glory to another.
There is an order of things. There are Heavenly ordinances. The Lord does things in decency and in order. Those who think they have things covered on their own will be destroyed. We must humble ourselves and repent of our pride and arrogance as a nation. We add sin to sin when we eliminate the operation of the Spirit, when we quench or grieve the Spirit. Faith must reign in order to obtain righteousness. Most often in perilous or troublesome times the children often went to Egypt for help. Egypt, though a wealthy merchant for many nations, was considered an enemy of the Most High and the children of Israel. The Lord pleaded with His children to trust in Him and not to strengthen themselves with the strength of their enemies.
